Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-08

 

This was a very tight game with Killeedy/ Tournafulla been slightly been the better and stronger team on the night played in very wet conditions, with our goal in the second half coming from Kenny Lynch, this loss ends our season in the Minor Hurling Championship, the above club would like to thank the Management Team of Ray Lynch, Adrian Cahill, Kevin McGill and the panel of players led b Jack Mullane Captain for effort during the year gone by.

 

Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the first pointed free of the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford replied with a point coming from Séan Madden to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to take lead for the first time during by a two points and with both of these points coming from James Molyneaux and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the next four points, with three of these coming from frees and the other from play to lead by two points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to bring sides back on level terms for third time during the game and these points came from Adam Cotter and Brian Aherne pointed free and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored another pointed free. James Molyneaux scored the next pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring sides back on level terms once again for the fourth time during the game and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the first goal of the game with 30 minutes gone in the game to lead by a goal at the break. To leave the score at half-time Killeedy/ Tournafulla 1-6 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-6.

 

Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the first two pointed frees of the second half to lead by five points and then Kenny Lynch scored the next goal for Dromcollogher/ Broadford with 40 minutes gone in the game to leave two points between the sides. James Molyneaux scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford from pointed free to leave a point between the sides and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the next three points all from frees to leave four points between the sides. James Molyneaux scored the pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave three points between the sides and then Killeedy/ Tournafulla scored the next three pointed frees to lead by six points at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Killeedy/ Tournafulla 1-14 to 1-08.

This was a very one-sided played down in Feenagh on Sunday last, we were beaten by much better and stronger team on the day, with three rounds played and the table reads as follows Effin, Hospital/ Herbertstown, Glenroe, St. Patrick’s all on four points and Granagh/ Ballinagarry 3 points and Dromcollogher/ Broadford no points and the two games left in the group stages against Glenroe, on this coming Friday August 16th, in Kilmallock, at 7pm and Effin, on Saturday August 31st, in Ballingarry, at 3pm, the best of luck to our Management Team Intermediate Hurlers led by Denis O’Carroll and our Intermediate Hurlers led by Séan O’Sullivan in both games.

Results of the 350th draw took place on August 6th, in the Green Bar, Dromcollogher and the numbers drawn were: 12, 14, 24, 25 there was no winner of the jackpot was at €5,900 and there also was no winner of match three at €100 and the two lucky dips of €50 each were: Eoin Barry, Broadford and Alan Ruddock Junior, Dromcollogher, and the next draw will took place on last Monday August 12th, in Foley’s Bar, Broadford and the Jackpot was at €6,000 and the match three is stayed at €100. Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.
