Substitute Gary Plunkett scored a last-gasp winner as Leitrim maintained their 100% record with a dramatic victory over Limerick in Kilmallock.

Terry Hyland's charges are the only team across the four Allianz Football League divisions with four wins from four and are in a great position to secure promotion to Division 3. While the defeat is a damaging blow to Limerick's promotion hopes, they did at least perform a great deal better than last year when they lost to the same opponents by 12 points in Carrick-on-Shannon. The sides were level four times before Plunkett won it in the fourth minute of injury-time for the visitors.

A wind-assisted Limerick had six different scorers as they took a 0-7 to 0-5 lead into the break. Leitrim resumed with four unanswered points from Shane Moran, Paddy Maguire, Ray Mulvey and Domhnaill Flynn to take the lead before efforts from Jamie Lee and substitute Sean McSweeney levelled the scoring at 0-9 each.

The visitors re-established a two-point lead, only for Darragh Treacy and Sean McSweeney (free) to level again. But Leitrim - and Plunkett - would have the final say.
