Killeedy Bord na nOg club notes

Big day last Sunday for Killeedy Bord na nÓg.

 

Last Sunday saw four shields being played for in Killeedy. The; Curtin, Johnny Magner, Mick Browne and Jerry Forde shields. Across the age groups, our visiting teams were; Feoghanagh, Dromcollogher/Broadford, Newcastle West and Feoghanagh/Castlemahon.

 

In a day of sunshine, Killeedy hurling shone bright, winning top spot in all four shields..

Training continues Saturday mornings in Coolyroe. No previous skills required. Join in any week. Training  encorporates fitness & football skills development with a big emphasis on fun and enjoyment!! Joann Larkin is the Killeedy contact person.

 

BOOTCAMP starting in Killeedy

Wednesday and Friday nights for four weeks at 7.30pm. Open to both Males and Females. Starting Wednesday 3rd October. Places are filling up fast. Book your place by texting 0871214920.

Sunday Strollers: Edel (Trained Walking leader with Get Ireland Walking) will lead the walk at 8.30am from Carpark in Ashford.  All Welcome.

 

Well done Edel and group of people that got together on Sunday 30th September National Walking Day. They received a number of goodies after winning a prize (t-shirt, back pack, water bottle, first aid kit) from Get Ireland Walking.

Liam MacCarthy came to Killeedy National Schools:

 

On Monday, both schools were visited by a number of Limerick senior players and county board officers. In both schools, a large number of parents attended to support the schools and cheer on the players. Big thanks To Richie English, Pat Ryan, Sean Finn and Darragh O'Donovan for visiting both Ashford and Raheenagh schools this week with the cup.
