This was a very tight game played down in Ballyagran, on last Sunday afternoon with Dromcollogher leading at the break by 0-13 to 0-6 and then in the second half Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored 1-6 to 1-6 our goal came from Derry McCarthy and Hospital/ Herbertstown goal came from Michael Whelan his third of the game. The is our game third game in the group stages we have lost three from three with Hospital/ Herbertstown and Knockaderry. The table after four rounds and going into the final round of games is as follows: Dromin/ Athlacca 8 points, Croom 6 points St. Patrick’s 4 Points, Knockaderry 3 points, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points, Hospital/ Herbertstown a point.

 

Michael O’Sullivan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first point of the game and then Hospital/ Herbertstown replied with two points to take the lead for the first and last time during the game and these points came from Dylan O’Connor and Tadgh Leddin.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next six points to take lead once again and to stay in the lead for the rest of the game two of these points came from Garrett Noonan two points in a row the 3rd and 4th of the game and the other points came Derry McCarthy a free, Shane Murphy and Denis Donegan all scored a point each, to give us a lead of five points. Hospital/ Herbertstown scored the next two points both from frees and both points came from Conor O’Grady to leave three points between the sides.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points and these points came from Derry McCarthy, Garrett Noonan and Ross Egan and then Hospital/ Herbertstown replied with next point coming from John Fitzgerald to leave five points in the game.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points and these points came from Denis Donegan, Derry McCarthy and Michael O’Sullivan to give us lead of eight points and then Hospital/ Herbertstown replied with from a pointed free just before the end of the half coming from Conor O’Grady to leave seven points between the sides at the break.  To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-13 to Hospital/ Herbertstown 0-06. 

Conor O’Grady of Hospital/ Herbertstown and Paul Madigan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchange points in the early second half and then Tadgh Leddin of Hospital/ Herbertstown and Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford exchanged points.  Hospital/ Herbertstown scored the first goal of the game coming from Michael Whelan after a rebound saved free by James Noonan to leave four points between the sides with 46 minutes gone in the game.  Michael O’Sullivan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game to leave five points between the sides and then Hospital/ Herbertstown scored the next two points both coming from Conor O’Grady one from play and the other from a free to leave three points between the sides.  Derry McCarthy scored the next point from play for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to put four between the sides once again and then Conor O’Grady scored the next two points for Hospital/ Herbertstown to leave two points between the sides.  Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-2 with the 1-1 coming from Derry McCarthy and the other point coming from Damien Lacey to give us our victory of the year by seven points.  To leave the at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-19 to Hospital/ Herbertstown 1-12.
