Kildare manager Joe Quaid believes that there will be nothing between his charges and London in Saturday's Christy Ring Cup final.

The sides meet at Croke Park this weekend with both aiming to claim this year's title. Earlier in the year, London came out on top when the teams met in the NHL 2A campaign.

That was Quaid's first defeat as Kildare manager to the Exiles in five meetings and the Limerick native is hoping that it is the last.

"This will be the fifth time that we played them in the three years since I have been involved and the last day was the first time that they beat us," Quaid revealed to the Leinster Leader.

"There is nothing between the two teams on any given day and anyone who says it is anymore or any less than a 50/50 game, well, it isn't a match you will be betting on."

Quaid added that their target all year has been the Christy Ring Cup and stressed they aimed to finish the job this weekend.

"I wasn't overly bothered with the league to be honest, because I laid it out from day one that the Christy Ring Cup was our main goal this year.

"We prepared accordingly and basically our league form suffered because of it but, in saying that so far in the championship we have got it right."
