Kerry 1-30
Limerick 0-5
Jack O'Connor's Kerry side laid down a marker in the All-Ireland U20 football championship tonight by handing Limerick a whopping 28-point defeat in their Munster opener in Newcastlewest.
Packed with players from the last two All-Ireland minor winning sides, the Kingdom were never troubled in this provincial quarter-final as they had 11 points on the board before the hosts posted their first point through Liam Kennedy in the 17th minute.
Donal O'Sullivan, Fiachra Clifford and Bryan Sweeney added more points for the winners before David Shaw found the Limerick net on the eve of half-time, leaving it at 1-17 to 0-3 for the interval.
The visitors continued to convert their dominance into scores throughout the second-half while keeping their counterparts to just two scores, as subs Bian Friel, Ciaran Kennedy and Patrick Warren raised more white flags to round off their team's sublime display.
