SENIOR HURLERS

Well done to our Senior Hurlers who this morning are back in a Munster Club Final.

In Sunday's semi final against Cork representatives Blackrock we dominated possession from the start and picked off some excellent scores.

We started brightly and we 3 points to the good courtesy of Peter Casey, Adrian Breen and Ronan Lynch.

By the mid point of the half we led 8 points to 3 before Peter Casey crashed a brilliant goal to the net following an excellent move.

David Breen quickly joined in in the act with a determined run and finished off in style to leave the score 2-8 to 0-4.

At the short whistle we had a comfortable lead of 2-11 to 0-6.

The second half we rang the changes with Gordon Brown on for David Dempsey and Kevin Ryan on for goal scorer Peter Casey.

The half was a display of excellent ball striking especially from Ronan Lynch who finished with a personal tally of 15 points, 10 frees 2 65s a line ball and 2 from play.

We also had a great point from way out the field from corner back Niall Buckley.

Overall a good work.manlike performance and a job done.

We now face into a Munster Final where we will face Waterford Champions Ballygunner in 2 weeks time where it is rumoured to be Semple Stadium Thurles.

We thank our supporters for turning out in numbers and look forward to seeing them in Thurles in 2 weeks time.
