Senior Championship Semi-Finals
Saturday should be great. the 4 best teams in the county by a good distance. good for leitrim football
As for predictions, it is tough to call
marys v annaduff - although a marys man, i fancy annaduff. they are physically stronger and seem to have more scoring power. The marys bakline and midfield is as good as there is but they struggle to score. have a few injuries for sat and we dont have the depth that the other teams have. jimmy guckian is only back from suspension so is going to be rusty but if marys click, they could surprise
mohill v manor - i think mohill will sneak this. the game last week would have benifitted them and i think mohills forwards might do some damage to manors defence
So heres hoping for a marys double final appearane with the minors there already.
on another note, not looking good for allen gaels. in someway it would be sad to see them in the intermediate championahip. maybe they should bite the bullett and quit the amalgamations at underage as it is obviously not doing them any good

Minor Championship
well now brandy boy, have to say that your last post makes absolutely no sense. Firstly to have a minor b championship at 15 a side for the teams with 16 or 17 players is exactly the same thing as the present format except with 13 a side. I take your concern on board and ask you to have a look at all the clubs that are obsessed with amalgimation from u12 to and including u21. I mite add they aint all small rural clubs. I congratulate all clubs that refuse to amalgimate which promotes a far greater sense of team, and allows more players competitive football. in conclusion why not have a swipe at the clubs who year in year out disregard weaker players by joining forces with their neighbouring clubs to win at all costs.

Minor Championship
16 or 17 players is enough to be playing 15 aside!Dromahair Carrigallen drumkeran and Melvin geals sould be playing 15 a sideand its a disgrace that they had the numbers and competed at 13 a side!its no good for the football in th county!People will say that theyre to weak for 15 a side but there should be a B championship and play it at 15 a side!Anyone agree!

Senior Championship Semi-Finals
Mohill and Manor is too close to call but i think nd hope Mohill will do it!Very good defence and they wont fear Manor at all.Kenedy coming back in should add more to their forwards.Annaduff to get to th final with a bit to spare.

Standard of Referees in the County
Ray mc brian is by far the best ref closly followed by Emon o Grady but the rest are all very poor with consistancy. More young refs should be given games and forget about the old timers

Relegation semi/finals
Why are there relegation playoffs in Junior B when two clubs couldn't field teams, namely Allen Gaels and Aughnasheelin, Should they not be automatically relegated????

Senior Championship Semi-Finals
who would begrudge mohill the championship this year. definately not me. manor are a v gud team at getting results so its hard to call. annaduff should make the final, and again have every chance to take it. so out of the three i think manor will pip mohill in semi and the do the same to the duff in the final.

Relegation semi/finals
well whats the point reporting on any junior games untill the final when you got eslin in it again. no incentive there to any second teams. that said it was a great win for the north leitrim club last wkend.

Intermediate Championship Predictions
was reading predictions on the observer today and i see that drumkeerin have lost a lot of players this year, so i guess its no surprise that they have struggling in league and championship. mc gowans conlon and co should have far too much power if thats the case. then again its dromahairs third attempt in a row to make the championship final. when one considers that and the fact they bottled the celebrity final last year, it does beg the question.

Relegation semi/finals
I think it was wrong of the Leitrim Observer not to included coverage of the Relegation semi/finals over the last two weeks. Why is this are these games not important or whats the issue?

Junior A Championship?
my mistake leitrim lover. it would be a massive shock if eslin lost in the semis and the final if/when they reach it but the other semi might be close enough. i wouldnt be overly impressed with leitrim gaels.

Junior A Championship?
Tully,Eslin are not playing carrigallen in the semis.. they are the clear favourites and will probably win yet another junior title easily though

Senior Championship Semi-Finals
I think Annaduff will beat St. Mary's, they've looked good so far and Mc Hugh should be back fully fit. Saw him in the first two games and was very impressed. Not sure how the second semi will go, I haven't seen Manor this championship but obviously they will be very hard bet as they're going for three in a row. Mohill looked very good in the replay and if they can repeat that form and continue to be the only team with a clean sheet, i'll go for them to win by one or two points.

Junior A Championship?
Eslin would obviously be favourites. They are always very strong at this level. There team is well balanced with the beirnes in particular very good players for this level. Its hard to look past them, carrigallen should give them a good game in the semis though. After being knocked out in the senior they should be well up for this one. They have some good young players with a sprinklin of big men around the middle. Their goalie is a serious find, what do you think dr.smith?
