Will be very interesting to see who certain clubs go for:

Will Mohill stick with their same home grown managers? There has been a lot of criticism of them regarding their tactics in the final and the way the used Oisin Madden. But no matter who is iver them they are still one of the top dogs.

Ballinamore have already appointed Dominic Corrigan. This is a serious statement of intent. He has an impressive CV. Has previously managed Fermanagh (and played for them), He has managed Sligo. And has won championships with two different clubs in Tyrone Carrickmore and Killyclogher, Think he might have also have been with Cavan Gaels and the most interesting part of his background is that he has been over the Gaa set up in St Michaels school in Enniskillen for donkeys years so he comes with serious pedigree. Ballinamore have flattered to deceive and under-performed when it matters in the last two years but they are also the team with the potential to improve the most. For a team that has won nothing of note in the last few years they have had Shane Moran, Dean McGovern, Matthew Murphy, Niall McGovern, Wayne McKeown, Phillip Farrelly, and Kelan McHugh all involved with the county senior team and now Oisin McCaffery, Donal Feely and Daire Maxwell are being looked at. They also have a lot of good young players who should make an impact in the next year or two. It would be bizarre if they didn't improve by atleast 20 or 30% under a new management team of this pedigree.

The Willies managerial wise are in limbo. It seems from the interview that the McCormacks gave that they are moving on but they seemed to be a good match for each other. Although 3 years is probably around the shelf life for most teams listening to one voice. They are the best example as to why an outside management team can work well if chosen right. Can see them going outside again as no one from their club has been coaching outside apart from maybe Gerry Flanagan who has had the job previously if I am correct. Their current team even though they have been successful over the last 5 years are still relatively young apart from 3 or 4 starting player so there is no reason why they can't improve some more and a big win in Connacht looks to be the itch they will want to scratch.

St Marys decision will be a big one. They have a lot of talent but they seem to have been standing still in the few years and not improving sufficiently. Any team would bite your hand off for talent of the likes of Ray Mulvey, Michael and Nicholas McWeeney and Daire and Conor Farrell. That's not including the two Lowes who still have a few good years left and then the raft of underage talent they have coming through. Could this be a job for Benny Guckian to go back in to after gaining all the experience he got with Leitrim? I was very critical of him during his tenure but there's no doubt he would have learned a lot in the last 2 years. Or maybe even more suitable to Carrick would be Michael Moyles he has earned a lot of praise over the last few years training Leitrim and other clubs and this could be a perfect club for him to make a name as a manager and not a coach per se cause there's no doubt if they got it together with these young lads coming through Carrick would be there ort there about for a championship.

St Mary's should go after someone like Denis Connaughton who has a proven track record with a town team before(Longford Slashers). Completely agree that Sean O Heslins have made a big statement with their appointment. For me the appointment of Mohill manager will be the most interesting!

Great to see appointments like Corrigan in Ballinamore. In my eyes these standards of coaches will drive up standards across the board. Mohill and Aughawillan have shown the way in this regard, Padraig Davis/Tervor Smullen, Sean Pearson/Gary Donohoe and the McCormacks in Aughawillan along with David Casey in Aughnasheelin drove standards to a new level and as a result the standard of football has been raised.

People are not happy with the lack of native Leitrim coaches but in the long term the methods and standards that these outsiders are introducing into Leitrim clubs will mean that in the future new coaches will come from these clubs.

On a side note I find it utterly bizarre and to be honest disgraceful that James Glancy is not involved with coaching for the county board in some guise. How they got themselves into this position is beyond me and needs to be rectified. Once his club career finishes there's no doubt he will be snapped up either by a rival county board or by some big club if he wishes. It is a crazy situation.

He's missing out on a golden era in Fenagh football if that proves to be the case!!

Where did you hear Bobby Rourke was taking over Fenagh? Isnt he with Leitrim Gaels with Mel Guickan?
