GAA patrons in Leitrim have been urged to support the new fundraising development draw, Cairde Liatroim.

The need to raise some finance has never been more necessary following the news that the county board look set to pay €18,000 for a rates bill on Pairc Sean MacDiarmada.

There is now an urgency within the county board to make the most of the new draw and the appeal has gone out to all GAA gaels in Leitrim to support the fundraiser.

Supporters of the draw have been asked to make a monthy contribution of €10 by standing order or a one-off payment of €100. Monthly draws will then be held for individual and club prizes, while there will also be five club prizes of €1,000 and five individual prizes of €1,100.

Entries are available from county board officers and all the clubs in the county.
