Mohill club notes

August 08, 2017

Recent death

We extend our deepest sympathy to the Conboy family on the sudden and untimely death of Mickey Conboy in England at the weekend. Mickey was a brilliant player in the 50s and 60s for Mohill and he also played on underage teams for Leitrim. He was one of Mohill's stars when they won the Junior A Championship in 1968 and played senior for Mohill the following year. He  emigrated to England in the late sixties, like many great men so he missed out on the Championship win of 72. The Conboy family have continued to work for our club with Josie his brother always on the sideline and Nathan his nephew on the senior panel.  Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Congratulations to Michelle and Padraig Tighe on the birth of their little baby girl Amber, a sister for Clodagh and Cody. We wish them all the happiness in the world.
