Mohill club notes

April 11, 2017

The week that was

Not quite as successful as last week with only two teams collecting full points.

Under 13s came up against a talented Manor team and we had no excuses or answers to their wonderful performance, although our lads battled to the end. The U15 played Ballinamore and they also proved too strong for our lads, even though missing, arguably the three best players. U 17s were narrowly beaten by Allen Gaels on Tuesday but on Sunday morning their opposition Dromahair could not field 13 and Mohill were awarded the points

Div 1

This was Div1 team's first outing and they gave a good performance winning 0-22 to 1-9. Keith Beirne was top scorer with 0-12, R Kennedy 0-5, O Madden 0-2, D Flynn 0-2, R Kennedy 0-1. The next game is versus Melvin Gaels in Mohill on Saturday at 7pm.

Div 3

These men had their first defeat of the season when they were beaten by Esin on Sunday. Their next outing is in Aughavas on Sunday next at 12pm.

Cash for Clobber

In conjunction with Lipz Sync fundraising the Club has registered for Cash for Clobber until the end of May, so bring all types of clean re-wearable clothing, bed linen, handbags, paired shoes, hats and belts to Maureen Lynch Castlegardens 0861765987.

Lipz Sync Fundraiser

Everything is under way for this forthcoming event which will be held in the Landmark Hotel on Sat June 10. All the businesses of the town have come on board and hopefully we will be able to repay them by holding events in the various premises in the town and surrounding areas. We already have a line-up of entertainers and a great night is guaranteed.
