Dinner Dance

Special thanks to everyone that attended Saturday night's Dinner dance held in the Landmark Hotel Carrick. It was a wonderful occasion with good food, craic and entertainment. It's clear that there is something special happening within our club after the recent success with the Minors and the Intermediate team and it was wonderful to see such large numbers attend the event and show their support.

We must give special thanks to Adrian Smith who was a revelation as MC on the night regaling us all with stories and anecdotes as the players collected their medals, one could have been forgiven to think they were attending an Oscars award ceremony such was the skill of Adrian's delivery. Thanks also to one of our former greats and the man that presented the medals on the night Liam Conlon, Liam was a wonderful player and passed on some excellent advice to the young players which will certainly benefit them now and in the future.

Thanks also to the players and management both Minor and Intermediate, it's down to your skill and commitment that we get the opportunity to have these excellent nights where we can all share in your exploits.

The Minor panel was as follows

Jack Gallogly, Damien Creavin, James Hamill, Dara Gleeson, Adam Goldrick

Nathan McCartin, Cathal McHugh, John Conway, Mark Maguire, Francis McGovern, Darragh Murphy, Tom Prior, Darren Maxwell, Barry McGovern, Jamie Sweeney, Joe Sweeney, Conor McGrath, Mathew Morris, Niall McGovern (Captain)

Management Team

Paul Prior, Sean McCartin, Jason Kellett and Joe Feely

A special well done must go to Club Captain Wayne McKeon who was voted the players player of the year on the night and collected his award from team manager Paul Prior. This was wonderful recognition for the brilliant performances that Wayne has put in. On accepting the award Wayne challenged the team and the club to push on for more success in the future.

We must also thank Terence Boyle for his fine words an on the night and to the support the county board has given us in the past.

The night wasn't just for celebrating our feats on the pitch but also on the stage, with the club celebrating 27 years since its first All-Ireland Scór title which was won on the 28th April 1984.

The victorious Novelty Act team of Tommy Moran. Madge Murphy, Bríd Sullivan, Michael Fanning and Raymond McHugh were crowned champions in the National Stadium on Dublin's South Circular road. Their Novelty Act "Where there's a Will, there's a relative" showcased the talents of this immensely talented group and started a revolution wherein the club won six All Ireland Novelty Act titles over a twenty-five period, the last being in 2009.

The five winners Tommy Moran, Madge Murphy, Bríd Sullivan, Michael Fanning and Raymond McHugh became the first inductees into the Ballinamore Hall of Fame on Saturday night, it was great to see them take to the stage to collect their well-deserved recognition for everything they have achieved at both national and club level.

We must thank also to all the sponsors that supported us on the night with spot prizes, and Ciaran Murray who provided key rings for everyone in attendance.

A special thanks also to you all for making it such a great night !
