Mohill GAA club notes

December 06, 2016

Div 1 semi-final

Our Senior team must play again next Sunday following their draw with   Ballinamore at home on Sunday last. The idiocy of not having extra time was the talking point following the game, it now means that teams will be playing the final very near to Christmas. Support is essential on Sunday next

Recent deaths

We extend deepest sympathy to our Chairman Padraig McLoughlin on the death of his uncle Seán McLoughlin last week. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé

History of Mohill GAA

On Saturday next at 8.30pm in the Baronial Hall Lough Rynn Castle, Aogán Ó Fearghail National President of the GAA will Launch the club's history titled, Clear the Way. Books will be on sale on the night for €20. It will be a great Christmas present for anyone interested in Mohill over the centuries as Gerry Kilrane has included a history of the area from the times of St Manchan. Everyone is welcome to the launch, it is an open invitation and there will be finger food on the night

Scór na nÓg

The young ladies who took part in Scór on Sunday last can be proud of their performances. No medals came their way but all danced and sang extremely well and we thank them and Róisín Kennedy for all their hard work over the last few months.

Operation Transportation

As this operation draws to a close we thank all the leaders who gave their services free over the last few weeks. Let's hope those who took part will keep up the good work and continue a healthy lifestyle in the future.

Missing Jerseys

Sad to say we have two missing jerseys. No 14 from the minor set sponsored by Opel is missing a long time and No 19 sponsored by Lough Rynn went astray lately. Both jerseys would be very costly to replace so if anyone knows where they are contact  0861765987
