Minor League Champions

Congrats to the minor team on winning the League for the sixth year in a row. Things were not looking good when a very fit and talented Fenagh side took a seven point lead in the first half. Then just before the interval substitute Niall Keegan slotted home a rasper of a goal to rise the crowd. Whatever John and Matt said to them at the interval worked, because it was a different ball game Mohill played in the second half and  Fenagh had no answer for. There will be other days this year for the young lads of Fenagh but Sunday was Mohill's day.

Mohill does Strictly

This enormous fundraising venture for new dressing rooms and facilities came to it's conclusion on Friday night in The Landmark with a spectacular display of music and dancing. The great John Lynch of Shannonside was the excellent host and our judges were Jennifer Wrynne, Loughlin Burns, and Brendan Farrell of Shannonside. We thank them for their great input. The large crowd enjoyed the hugely varied programme performed by all the amateur dancers. Half of the dancers came from other clubs and it was heartening to see the support we got from all their supporters. Mohill people came out in force and gave great atmosphere to the occasion. The overall winners were Niall Faughnan and his fiancé Brenda Prior and the Club is indebted to them for the hard work they put in over the last few weeks. The Judges prize went to our local Garda Sergeant Ronan Mooney and Anella McGuinness. We thank everyone who helped out over the last month, Printing booklets, attending functions, selling the dreaded raffle tickets, making tea, getting on stage etc. etc. It was a great community effort and as one Mohill lady said "I don't care if we never made a bob ! I'm after having the best month of my life"

Niall and Brenda

Our overall winners Niall and Brenda wish to thank Mohill GAA Club for running Mohill does Strictly and awarding them the prize. They also wish to thank Club members for helping them win the Wedding Prize in the Landmark some months ago by sharing and voting.

 Recent Weddings

Congratulations to John Farrell who married Sarah McWeeney on Sunday last. Gavin Moran and Cormac Duignan also got married at the weekend, they played underage for Mohill.
