Commiserations

Hard luck to our junior A lads who were in action on Saturday in Cloone in this year's county final where they took on Mohill. The match was played in very difficult conditions with driving wind and rain which made holding on to the ball difficult. All credit must go to both set of players for trying to play football in the right way despite the difficulties they faced. The match itself was a close run thing with Mohill eventually running out the victors after extra time by a single point. In fairness to Mohill they did edge this exciting encounter and led throughout the match with Ballinamore pegging them back first from the boot of James Mcweeney in injury time at the end of normal time and then Conor Moran followed by Paddy Connaughton in the closing minutes of the second half of extra time to put the pressure on Mohill in the closing moments, unfortunately we could not push on to grab the lead and Mohill added to their senior championship winning by 0:11to 0:10, Ballinamore had some stand out performers on the day with Shane and James Mcweeney taking some impressive scores while in goal Denis Dolan made some excellent saves.

Well done
