Mohill club notes

November 09, 2015

Winners again

On Sat last we added the Division 1 League title to our Championship win when we beat Glencar Manor in a great game of football.  Both teams were at peak fitness and the work rate  was phenomenal but a strong bench was one of the main reasons the  Mohill win.

Jim O Brien

On Thursday last one of nature's gentlemen publican Jim O Brien was laid to rest in Mohill. His daughter Louise played football in her younger days with the Under 12 boys teams. The Club extend deepest sympathy to his wife Phil his daughters Sasha and Louise and his extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé .

Junior A Championship

On Sat next in Carrick Mohill play the Junior A Final with Ballinamore. This team has already won the Div 3 League so get out in force and support them as they attempt another double.

Busy Chairman

Mohill Chairman Padraig McLoughlin had no sooner escorted the victorious Senior team back to Mohill than he had to get in his car and head to The Garage Theatre in Monaghan where he played the lead role in Mohill based Acorn Players production of their great comedy"The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley". Anyone interested in seeing him in action on stage can catch it in The Landmark on November 22
