Folks, please note times are filling up for this years' Ballinamore SOH Golf Classic in Ballinamore Golf Club so if you want a particular time please book in asap. It takes place on Saturday 15th August (closing weekend of the festival). This is a great opportunity to take part in an excellent competition and to support the club as well. Teams of 4. Caring for Conor
A special night of fundraising will take place on Friday 11th September in Longford Greyhound Stadium at 8pm. This is to raise much needed funds for Conor McGloin who suffered a global brain injury affecting all aspects of his development. Conor is son of Susan and Sean, Grandson of Annette and the late Michael Martin of Ballinamore and Terence and Margaret McGloin of Kinlough. Please support this very worthwhile cause. It's open to all the family with family admission for €10, 11 races are scheduled and there's opportunities to sponsor dogs and races for those that cannot attend on the night. Tickets are available through John Ryan, Helena D'Arcy, Janette McManus, Joey Smith, John O'Connell and Tommy Moran. Donations also welcomed via Ballinamore Credit Union.

Ballinamore Festival
Best of luck to the organising committee of this year's family festival which starts this Sunday, as usual is promises to be another excellent week of free entertainment for the whole family. Special mention to Cormac O'Suilleabhain and Tommy Spike McCormack who will be performing the official opening duties on Sunday. It's wonderful to have two local celebrities available to launch this year's event.

Congratulations
Massive congratulations to our chairperson Micky Quinn who recently got engaged to Maeve Sharpley daughter of our club vice Treasurer Walter. Rumours of green and gold bridesmaid's dresses are too early to confirm, but this match made in heaven should certainly have benefits for our underage set up in the years to come.
