Kiltubrid notes

THE LATE ANSELM REYNOLDS

The late Anselm Reynolds goes down in the history books of Kiltubrid GAA as the person who promoted and encouraged under age football in our community. From his base as a national schoolteacher in Keshcarrigan through the early sixties up to the eighties Anselm provided a platform for young lads from all over the parish to play football at all under age levels. His VW Estate was the team bus collecting lads from the meadows, taking them away from the hay to the delight of the young lads and the sometimes a little irritation of the parents who found  their workforce scarce for an hour or two. He was Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer rolled into one at that time with no five year limit on role. His involvement with Bord Na nOg at County level spans a lifetime of dedicated service to Leitrim GAA at underage level. We extend our sympathy to his family and friends at this sad time. May he Rest in Peace.

NEW BABY
Congratulations to Mary and Derek Moran on the birth of their baby boy Séanaí during the week.

FIXTURES

ACL Div 2 game v  Gortletteragh at home on Sunday at 12noon. ACL Div 3 v Allen Gaels in Drumshanbo on Sunday at 2.45pm. Please support.

KELLOGG'S GAA CUL CAMPS
This year there are some exciting changes to the kit, with a stylish new half zip top and T-shirt replacing the original jersey, togs & socks. The backpack is still part of the new kit, while the cost of attending the camps remains the same as the last number of years. On-line registration is now available and we would encourage parents to use this method of registration if convenient as it greatly helps with assigning coaches etc to the camp. Camp will take place in Drumshanbo on week commencing 13th July

RECENT DEATH
Deepest sympathy is extended to Dermot and the Mc Keon family on the death of Minnie, who died suddenly last week. May she Rest in Peace.
