Mohill

Another successful weekend on the football field, with Wins at Div 1, Div 3 and two wins for the Under 16 team

Div 1

Our first 15 had a hard fought win against an eager Allen Gaels. It was a game of two halves with the homesters leading by 2-6 to 0-6 at half time. Mohill managed to pull themselves together in the second half and scored 1-6 to Drunshanbos 0-2 to win by two points at the final whistle.

Div3

Kiltubrid obviously like many rural teams stuck for numbers, find it hard to make two teams, were easy prey on Sunday morning. The final score was 2-14 to 0-7.

Under 16

These young men had two good wins during the week earning themselves a playoff with St Brigids to get into the Final with Fenagh. On Monday they had a good win over Manorhamilton scoring 7-7 in the process. On Friday they met Fenagh and a win was essential or their campaign was ended. In a fast and skilful game we managed to win

2-10 to 0-8. The teams were level at half time and still 7 apiece midway through the second half but Mohill turned on the power scoring 2-3 to Fenagh's one point. The goals came from top scorer James McNabola and a super one from the ever improving Johnny Boyle. The panel and scorers on Friday last was: J McGuinness, P ONeill, K Bohan, R Shanley, D Gaffey, L Rowley, J Reynolds, T Mulligan 0-1, S Harkin 0-4, J McNabola 1-5, J Boyle 1-0, E Harkin, T Doherty, G Gordon, M Tiernan J McCaffrey, J Reynolds.

Paul Early

We wish Paul Early and his girlfriend Aideen McGarry every good wish as they settle among the many natives of Mohill in far away Perth Australia. Hope their stay wont be for too long. Bon Voyage.
