Leitrim minor footballers have almost eleven weeks to wait before their Connacht MFC opener against Sligo.

The Yeats County played their last competitive game against Galway in the Connacht minor league last Friday.

The game ended in a draw, a result that Leitrim will be disappointed with as they had numerous chances to win the game.

Nonetheless, there were plenty of positives to take from the campaign and the management team is now faced with the daunting task of keeping the momentum going ahead of the provincial campaign.
