Sympathy:
The Club would like to offer its deepest sympathy to John (Doc) Healy on the death of his father John who passed away last week in Rosemount, Co. Westmeath.  May he Rest in Peace.

League Matches:
Last weekend the Club had their first two league matches of the year in Division 1 and 2.  Unfortunately we were well beaten in both games.  Saturday evening our seniors were at home to Aughawillan, they were unable to match the pace and determination of the county champions in the first half and even though we upped the pace in the second half, the damage was done by then.  Team:  Sean Bohan, Mark Mitchell, Colm Duffy, Niall Duffy, Niall Mulvey, Dermot Kennedy, James Campbell, Niall Woods, David Mulvey, John Reynolds, Cathal McCrann, Barry Tiernan, Francie Flynn, Conor Reynolds and Jack Heslin.  Sub used: Neil Quinn.  On Sunday a much depleted second team made the trip to County Cavan to take on Glenfarne's first team in Blacklion.  This was always going to be a very tough task and so it proved as we were well and truly beaten on the day.  Seven of our players were playing their second tough game in less than a day and this is one of the drawbacks with having teams in Division 1 and 2.  Nonetheless there were lots of positive aspects about the display and we now take on Dromahair's second team in Gortletteragh on Sunday next at 12.  Last Sunday's team was:  Sean Bohan, Eddie Tyrell, Dermot Kennedy, Liam Mitchell, Terry Kellegher, David Mulvey, Niall Mulvey, Barry Tiernan, Dylan Ward, Francie Flynn, Sean Costello, Ciaran Kilkenny, Darren Clarke, Shane Sorohan and Neil Quinn.  Sub:  Derek Kellegher.  Our Seniors take on Mohill in Mohill on Saturday evening next at 7 o'clock in Division 1.

Under 14's:
Our under 14's made the long trip down to Glenfarne on Easter Monday only to be made aware on their arrival that the home team would not be able to field a team and they were conceding the game.  This was disappointing for the boys, their parents and mentors, it was a pity someone in Glenfarne could not have made a phone call before we travelled.  On Saturday the boys played Carrigallen in Carrigallen and lost out by only 2 points to the home side.  They now have one game left in the group stages and need to win it to have any chance of reaching the final.
