Cardiac Screening Takes Place Next Sat April 18th
Following on from the very successful 3rd Annual ArdnaSpéire Run which was held last month in memory of our dear friend Sandra Earley, Kiltubrid Ladies and Mens GAA clubs are delighted to be able to play a role in the fight against sudden adult death syndrome by offering cardiac screening to all our members to screen for potential heart abnormalities. The Cardiac screening service is available for all members between the ages of 14 and 40 for a contribution of just €10.
On average 1 in 300 people may have a cardiac abnormality, with the national register recently reported that the incidents of SADS are higher in Ireland than many other European countries. The GAA's Medical Scientific and Welfare Committee recommend cardiac screening for all players over the age of 14 years, and In Italy since cardiac screening has been made mandatory for those involved in competitive they have reduced the incidents of SADS by 89%.
Cardiac screening will take place in the Club rooms on Saturday April 18th 2015, and will be provided by Healthy Hearts, check out their website for more info. http://www.healthyheartshealthylives.com/

Last Months Lotto draw took place recently in McKeons where the numbers drawn were 9, 17, 22 and 25.  We had no Jackpot winner, but Suzanne Moolick, Sean Mulvey Aughacashel, Michael Hanley Ballinamore, Leo Early Kilclare and Siobhan Cunningham Roscommon all picked up €20.  The jackpot now stands at €2,000 so be sure to pick up a ticket and support the draw!

League
Congrats to our Senior Ladies who followed up a hard fought win over Mohill with another impressive victory over Oughteragh Gaels on Easter Sunday.  Well done to all involved.  Hard Luck to our Under 14's who were unlucky in their first round encounter against neighbours Fenagh last week.  Best of luck in your upcoming games.
