Leitrim rounded off their FL Division 4 campaign in fine style when scoring a five-point success over visitors Waterford at Pairc Sean MacDiarmada today.

The game was effectively over as a contest at the halfway stage as Leitrim had built up a commanding 0-12 to 0-3 advantage in front of an approximate attendance of 250.

Leitrim had six points on the board through Ronan Kennedy, Paddy McGowan and Shane Moran before JJ Hutchinson opened the Deise's account.

No finger of blame for the defeat can be pointed in the direction of Hutchinson who accounted for all bar two points of his side's final tally.

Shane Ward's charges, meanwhile, will be hoping they can carry their rich vein of recent form into their Connacht championship outing against Galway/New York which is scheduled to take place on May 17.
