Minors:

Pride of place this week goes to our Minors who had a great win over the much-fancied Carrigallen team in Park Sean  McDiarmada  St. Patrick's day.  Our lads played out of there skins especially Daragh Mc Cabe who was excellent in goals with great kick outs all the time, the tough tackling Diarmuid Casey in defence the Lynch twins Shane & Darren played there hearts out and up front James Canning was in immaculate form scoring 2 goals and a few points showing that he is a player to watch in the future, these lads were well backed by  Danial, Fintan Seamus and Eoin along with sub Edward Lynch, They put in a great team performance with excellent foot passing, great scores and stout defending,  up 4 points at half time our lads upped the tempo at the start of the second half bagging three goals and the cup was heading back to Aughavas where it had been for the previous twelve months, Top scorer was Seamus Sweeney with 3 goals and 7 points,
Great credit to trainers Sean Mc Cartin and Frank Bohan who had the lads in perfect shape and Sean's team talk made the day, Also thanks to "Beaser" who did a great session the previous Saturday and to Ray for his training as well. There was great excitement & celebrations when Danial Bohan received the cup from chairman of Coiste Na Nog Garret Foley. With more celebrations later in our club rooms.Well done lads and hopefully next year it will be three in a row, Team:  Daragh Mc Cabe,  Diarmuid Casey,  Fintan Gallogly.  Darren Lynch,  Eoin Kenny.  Danial Bohan,   James Canning,  Seamus Sweeney,  Shane Lynch,  Subs:  Edward Lynch,  Ronan Moran.
