Manager Pat Costello is happy with how the Leitrim ladies are shaping up.

Leitrim have won their first three outings in Division Three and will move close to a semi-final spot if they win in Longford this weekend.

"I think the girls have applied themselves very hard from the word go," the Galway man says in The Leitrim Observer. "They are working very hard behind the scenes and I want that to be known.

"They are responding to the training. They are playing a lovely brand of football and they are able to mix it. That's what it's all about - it is about football at the end of the day."
