Aughawillan GAA club notes

January 26, 2015

Training: A growing body of research finds that in addition to improved physical health, sport plays a primarily positive role in youth development, can improve academic achievement, higher self-esteem and better psychosocial skills. Many studies focus on the effects of sport on the five "C's"-competence, confidence, connections, character, and caring-which are considered critical components of a positive mind. With training now back in place and just beginning for Seniors, Juniors, Minors and U16's, we in Aughawillan GAA would urge all players to get back to training and to focus on the year ahead.
