All change at the top table

December 18, 2014

Six new officers have been been elected onto the Leitrim County Executive.

At Convention on Monday night, it was all change as Terence Boyle replaced Joe Flynn as chairman and Attracta O'Reilly was elected to the role of secretary (succeeding Diarmuid Sweeney), while Enda Tiernan (Connacht Council delegate), Declan Bohan (PRO), Sean O Suilleabhain (vice-chairman) and John Keenan (assistant secretary) all took over new roles.

Jim Meehan and Tiernan claimed the two Connacht Council delegate positions, while the outgoing secretary was beaten by Keenan in the race to become assistant secretary.

Treasurer Brian Gordon pointed out that the debt on the redevelopment of Pairc Sean MacDiarmada was down from over €700,000 to €408,000, with €5,400 per month being paid on that term loan.

Operating profit for the year was €32,907.
