GORTLETTERAGH GAA CLUB NOTES - 24th November 2014

Division 3 League Final:
On Sunday last in Pairc Sean we came out on top by one point to beat Sean O'Heslin's in Division 3 League Final.  This was a rip roaring game from start to finish, it took extra time to separate the teams and the final score of 2-16 to 2-15 reveals how good the match was.  Close finishes were nothing new to this Gortletteragh team who won three of their league games by one point and drew another.  This puts us up into Division 2 as league champions.  Well done to the panel for the effort they put in all year.  We would also like to thank Sean O'Heslin's for a great game in which there wasn't a dirty stroke from start to finish. Tom Ward, Sean Reynolds and the players would like to thank the Senior Management of Mark Heslin, Sean Clarke and Noel Heslin for training the lads all year.  Also thanks to our loyal supporters whose vocal support on Sunday helped to get us over the line.  Thanks also to Gavin Mitchell for providing the after match food as well as scoring 2-3 in the match.  Also thanks to Ralph for providing refreshments later on in the night.  Team and panel:  Sean Bohan, Mark Mitchell, Seamus Prunty (Captain), Liam Mitchell, Niall Mulvey, Gerry Griffin, David Mulvey, Evan Ward, Mark Duignan, Jack Heslin, Barry Tiernan, Francie Flynn, Sean Costello, Gavin Mitchell, Neil Quinn, Padraig McGarry, John Reynolds, Alan McGarry, David Campbell, Peadar Cassells, Terry Kelleher, Conor Woods, Niall Tiernan, Ciaran Kilkenny, Darren Mulvey, Darren Clarke, Noel Heslin, Shane Sorohan, Owen O'Bradaigh, Alan McCann and Paddy Leydon.

Under 21's:
The final competition of the year for us is the Under 21 championship and the Gortletteragh/Fenagh combination has reached the semi-final.  This semi-final against Glencar/Manorhamilton takes place on Sunday next in Drumshanbo at 1.30pm.  Once again we hope our supporters will turn out in force.

The Club AGM takes place on Saturday 29th November in the Community Centre starting at 5.30pm sharp.  People intending to put forward nominations/motions should contact the Club Secretary Darren Mulvey 0876483219 before Friday.
