Junior A Final
This coming Friday night sees our Junior A team play neighbours, St Marys in the Junior A Final. This is fixed for Cloone, under Lights at 8 pm. Best of luck to all involved and we hope to see a large Kiltubrid contingent out in support.

Under 16 Championship Final
Huge congratulations to our under 16 team and mentors, who captured the under- 16, 11-aside championship title in Fenagh last Sunday morning. In difficult conditions against a fancied Gortletteragh outfit, we came out on top on a score line of 2-5 to 0- 5. This was a fitting end to our active underage competition for 2014. The current underage players are the future of our club and many thanks must go to the management of Pat Mc Weeney, Padraig Lynch & Barry McKiernan for the effort put in throughout the year with both under 16's and minor teams. There is great work happening with coaching at all underage levels in the club and the future of our adult teams looks promising. Kids don't turn in to great players overnight; it is only through careful coaching and hard work that our current crop of underage stars will continue to develop into competent adult players. Luckily we have a small cohort of dedicated coaches in the club who are putting in huge effort with underage, without these coaches we will struggle in the future. The club is indebted to this band of coaches who put in the time and effort, rail, hail or shine. It's on days like yesterday that all that hard effort, makes all it that little bit more worthwhile. Many thanks to all our underage players and coaches for all your effort for the Red & Green throughout the year.

Girls do the double
Congratulations to our under 16 girl's team who followed on a great day for the club with a deserved win in the shield final on Sunday afternoon in Fenagh.

Underage coaching
This Saturday is the last underage coaching session for 2014 and we hope to see all the under 6, 8's & 10's.

Club 5K
Many thanks to all the participants who turned out for our 5 K event on Sunday Morning. The weather managed to remain reasonable for the event and from the feedback received; everyone seemed to enjoy the occasion. A special word of thanks to all the lads & lassies who assisted as stewards, at registration, with the catering and time keeping. Without your help the event couldn't have taken place. Also a number of individuals contributed discreetly but couldn't participate you generosity is much appreciated. Thanks as well to our pacesetter, James, on the bike for bringing the winners home in under 20 minutes. Also to number of individuals contributed but couldn't participate; your generosity and kind gesture is very much appreciated.
The overall winners are as follows; men's - 1st Aidan Mc Kiernan, 2nd Fergal Mc weeney, 3rd Micheal Earley. Ladies - 1st Caoimhe O'Connor, 2nd Sinead Mc Thiarnain, 3rd Ciara Mc Weeney. Boys; Joint 1st Irlaith O'Brien & Barry Mc Weeney, 2nd Dylan Easterbrook. Girls; 1st Caoimhe O'Connor, 2nd Clare mc Weeney, 3rd Tori Houghton. 1st bike; James Gill. A full listing of finish times are available on our facebook page and club website. Who knows it might grow to be an annual event. I wonder how many of the participants who passed the turnaround point at the 3KM mark, could recall playing in our ancestral home at Rossy over 30 years ago.
