Minor Championship

We were treated to another great game in the Minor Championship on Wed last when St Manchan's played St Brigid's. These encounters are proof that amalgamation at underage will improve the standard in Leitrim. Kerry has been doing it forever and look where they are. St Manchan's had all the play in the first half and led by 4 points at the break, increasing it then to 6 on resumption. Then St Brigids came to life played lovely football and scored 1-5 without reply to leave them 2 up with only minutes remaining. Keith Beirne then came to the rescue - Roy of the Rovers style. He scored a point and a 45 from the sideline to equalize. Then Ronan Gordon broke Brigid's hearts with the winning point in injury time.

Intermediate Relegation
Our Intermediate team are on the slippery slope of relegation to Junior football at the moment. On Sat last Fenagh youth had their fling and overwhelmed Mohill in a relegation match in Carrick. Our players would need to up their game if they intend to stay in Intermediate football next year.

Monster Draw
We need everyone out selling tickets this week. The draw is on Sept 13 so time is of the essence.Help your Club.
