August 28, 2014

Leitrim ladies are calling on supporters to get behind them for Saturday's All-Ireland semi-final against Down.

The Connacht champions will lock horns with the Mourne County for a place in the All-Ireland intermediate ladies championship at Mullingar and Ladies Board secretary Stephen Flynn has stressed the importance of a large and vocal travelling support for this huge occasion:

"I'd appeal to our supporters to turn out in force next Saturday, knowing how vocal they can be in support of a Leitrim team," he says in The Leitrim Observer.

"This team train equally as hard as any men's team and are deserving of the support of the Leitrim GAA public.

"We could do with every edge against Down next Saturday and I'd appeal to supporters to travel in big numbers to Mullingar and give us the 16th man we need to get across the line."
