Under 14
Our Under 14s played three games last week. On Monday they played the first round of the Championship but a strong Allen Gaels won out on the night. The boys never gave up and chalked up a respectable score of 4-5. The team and scorers was: Kevin Bohan, Peter O Neill, Eoin Gaffey, Alex Nitche, Tadhg Doherty, Niall Lennon, Jamie McCaffrey, Jordan McGuinness 0-1, Cormac White, Jordan Reynolds 2-1, Johnny Boyle 0-1, Conor Mulligan 2-0, Conor Quinn 0-2. Subs Stephen Crowe, Jordan Tighe. On Tues they played much better against Aughavas, the team was the same as Monday with the addition of a tenacious Joe McDonagh. Jordan Reynolds gave a display of scoring from distance to chalk up 2-8 of the total 3-12, Jamie McCaffrey 1-3, Johnny Boyle 0-1 and Jordan Tighe 0-1 were the other scorers. It was a much improved display and Peter O Neill was man of the match in defence. Conor Macklin made his debut at U 14 and did well. On Friday they travelled to Kiltubrid and had a narrow win over the home team. Jordan Reynolds scored 2-9, Jamie McCaffrey 1-3, Conor Mulligan and Johnny Boyle 0-1 each and Niall Lennon had a great game in defence.
Under 12
This group had a work out with Cloone on Wed and both teams went on a scoring spree. The team and scorers was. John Heslin, Finn Cassels, Liam Ellis, Gearóid Reynolds 0-1, Conor Quinn 0-2, Conor Mulligan 2-1, Conor Macklin 3-1, Dónal Duignan, James Foy 1-0, Jordan Tighe, Niall McNabola 2-1, Keith McNabola 1-0, Thomas McNabola 3-1, Aengus McCrann 1-1, Matthew Murphy 1-0.
Junior C
Our third string was beaten by St Osnat's in the Championship Final on Sat last. There will be a report elsewhere in the paper. The boys were very disappointed with their performance but hopefully all the injuries will be healed for the weekend when they play the League Final.
Senior and Intermediate Championship
Both teams will be in action at the weekend so we wish them luck in their endeavours
Monster Draw
Tickets are in circulation for our Monster Draw which will take place on August 27th Tickets are €20 with a book of 6 for €100. There will be over €2000 in prizes. All club members will be selling so we are again calling on your generosity to make it a success.

Gerry Bohan's Memory Lane
This week we go back to July 1969 and to a Championship Game in Gortletteragh in which a very strong Ballinamore side defeated Mohill in what was regarded as the best game in that years Senior Championship by 4-8 to 2-10. The panel was, Shane Moran, Michael Gallagher, Sean Kilrane, Sean "Bula" McCrann, Anthony Canning, Frankie Keegan, Brendan McGowan, Paul Greenan, Michael McGuinness, Liam Guckian, Sean Bannon, Mickey Conboy, Gerry Keegan, Tony Leavy, Sylvester Kivlehan, Peter Gordon, Eddie Costello, Tom Melia, Chris Foley, George Booth, Tom Lynch, Vincie Crossan.
