It was déjà vu at the weekend with a repeat of last week's results, our seniors going down and victories for Div 2 and Junior C.
Div 1
Our seniors made the long trip north to Kinlough and in a fiercely contested game Melvin Gaels won by a point. Always difficult to master the Gaels in their home grounds'
Div 2
These men are ending their season with some good results. On Sat they had a good win over Fenagh. The team and scorers was: J Farry, K Reilly, N McGovern, D Gordon, N Conboy, C Canning 0-1, D Mcloughlin 0-1, S Conaty, K Keegan, C McGuinness, S Canning 0-2, P Tighe 0-7, G Kelly 0-3, J McGuinness 1-2, R Gordon 0-2.
Junior C
This team has now reached two County Finals, Junior B Championship and Div 5. Well done to team and management Gary Canning and Padraig Tighe. The team that won on Sunday last was, A Farry, R Bohan, M McDermott, K Flynn, J Barry, P Foy, S Flynn0-3, B Lupton 1-5, C Keegan 0-1, A Keenan 0-2, S Canning , C Beirne 0-5, D Wynne 2-1, P McLoughlin 1-1, S Kennedy 0-1, Subs R OCarolan 0-1, P McDermott, R Keegan, M Beirne, C Beirne.
Eanna Madden
Eanna won a gold and silver at the National Senior Championships in Dublin at the weekend, these were his first senior national medals and Gerry Kiernan said he was an emerging talent from the football fields of Leitrim. We hope we will have his footballing talents for another while in Mohill. Well done Eanna.
Cúl Camp
Parents take notice Cúl Camp will take place in the Philly McGuinness Park starting on Mon July 28th until Frid August 1st. The fee is only € 55 with the second child €45 and others after €40. If the child is attending their second camp without needing a kit it is €35. Each child will receive kit bag, jersey, shorts and socks, It is great value for money . Parents can join on line at Kellogs Cúl Camps or come on the day and sign on.
Gerry Bohan's Memory Lane
This week we go back to 1968 and a Junior League Match in Ballinamore in which Mohill defeated Drumshanbo 4-11 to 0-2.
