McLoughlin eyes All-Ireland prize

Sarah McLoughlin hopes Leitrim ladies can kick on and win an All-Ireland title.

After helping her team to the Connacht intermediate championship last weekend, the joint-captain immediately turned her attention to the All-Ireland series.

"It is a dream come true. The last time we won the Connacht title we went on to lose the All-Ireland but hopefully this time we will push on for the All-Ireland title.

"Back then, we had high hopes of pushing on to senior but as you know we fell apart and we didn't even field a team.

"But we certainly didn't think it would be seven, eight years before we won another title.

"We're a very fresh team. There are only a few of us that have been here before."
