Mohill GAA Notes

April 21, 2014
Div 1
This was the first of 3 League games played in the Phillip McGuinness Memorial Park at the weekend and we survived a strong challenge from Drumreilly, a team badly hit by emigration over the last few years. They gave us a good game and were even at half time, it was only in the last 10mins that we pulled away to win comfortably with a score of 3-13 to 0-10.

Div 2
This game followed the Div 1 encounter. Some of the first team had to play this game as management were trying to save the minors who play their final on Wed. For the first 20 mins we managed to trail Ballinagleara 0-9 to 0-0 and looked weary and beaten but they managed to raise their game and comeback to go four points ahead. The opposition clawed their way back to level at the final whistle. The final score was 3-8 to 1-14

Div 5 League
These men played St Osnat's on Sunday and kept the clubs unbeaten record for the weekend intact with a comfortable win of 3-8 to 0-6.

Ladies
Mohill ladies did not let the side down either when they beat Manorhamilton on Sunday morning. We must thank all the ladies who do their utmost to raise funds for the Park upkeep. They all go out to sell Lotto tickets at the weekends and the successful recycling venture organised by them will go to their Park Development.

Keys found. A door key with Blackpool on the ring was found in the pitch following Saturday's matches

Minor League Final

The St Manchan minors defend their Minor League Crown on Wed evening. Watch fixtures for venue. The opposition is St Brigid's and we look forward to a good game.
