Kiltubrid Ladies Notes

April 15, 2014
Gaelic4Girls / Underage Coaching
We had a very exciting morning on Saturday last as we had a very special visit from Áine & Niamh Tighe who brought both the Lynch and O'Connor Cups which they won at the O'Connor Cup weekend recently in Belfast. Over 30 girls turned out for training! Our U6, 8 & 10 girls are doing really well and we are into week 4 of our Gaelic4Girls programme which has been huge success so far! It is just fantastic to see so many young girls out training and having fun! We have new players joining each week so it's not too late to join in on the action! Training continues Saturday mornings from 10-11 @ Kiltubrid GAA pitch. A special thanks to our coaches, parents and everybody who helped out with our celebration this week! More pics to follow next week!

School Girls
Hard luck to our school girls who lost out to Manorhamilton after a great team performance during the week. The girls have a small break from matches now until may but keep up the hard work at training and best of luck in the remaining matches!

League
Well done to our Senior ladies who enjoyed their first league victory of 2014 with a good win over Glencar Manorhamilton last weekend! It was a great overall team performance by the girls with the final score Kiltubrid 3-15 Manorhamilton 1-5. The ladies are due to play St Josephs this coming weekend, keep an eye on the fixtures and facebook page for details.

Leitrim Minors
Huge congrats to the Leitrim Minor team who claimed a historic minor league title last weekend with a fantastic victory over Galway in Tuam. Its great to see the hard work which has been taking place at grass roots level paying off, and we wish the lads the best of luck as they look forward to the championship.

Happy Easter
We wish all our players, coaches, members and supporters a very happy Easter! Enjoy the break and enjoy the chocolate!!
