Leitrim minors in Connacht decider

April 10, 2014
Leitrim take on Galway in the Connacht minor football league decider this Saturday.

At present, the Tribe lead Leitrim by one point on the league table, so a win for the visitors in the last round at Tuam this weekend would see them leapfrog their opponents in the final standings to capture the silverware.

Leitrim kept their dreams alive with a thrilling 1-12 to 2-7 victory over Tipperary in Carrick-on-Shannon last weekend.

"Galway represent a massive challenge for us," manager Enda Lyons concedes in The Leitrim Observer.

"We've gone unbeaten and anything can happen on Saturday. We're really looking forward to [it] and anything can happen."

The manager adds that, regardless of what happens this weekend, all eyes are on the June 28th championship clash with Roscommon.
