Mohill GAA Notes

April 07, 2014
Mohill
Like a lot of clubs, Mohill are at present experiencing a shortage of numbers at underage level. This was evident in Fenagh on Friday last as U14 Manager Adrian McCaffrey played the game without one sub. He and his very young charges put up a good battle but the might and talent of Fenagh won through in the end. The team was

Kevin Bohan, Peter O'Neill, Niall Lennon, Alex Nitche, Tadhg Doherty, Joe McDonagh, Jordan McGuinness, Jordan Reynolds 0-2, Niall Keegan 0-2, Cormac White, Jamie McCaffrey, Martin Tiernan, Johnny Boyle, Jordan Tighe, Eoin Gaffey.

They play St Brigid's next week end in the Philly McGuinness Park.

U21 Final
Shane Quinn, Eanna Madden, Ronan Reynolds and especially Alan Mcloughlin played their hearts out on Sat last in Pairc Sean but they were up against a very strong Roscommon side that has its eye on an All Ireland.

Co Minor League

Great result for the Co Minors who outplayed Mayo in the curtain raiser. St Manchan's had outstanding players in James Mitchell, Oisín Madden and Keith Keegan. While Darren Keegan and Jamie Stenson who are eligible next year were substitutes. Next week they meet Galway.

Chairman Padraig Mcloughlin

On Friday next at 8.30 in Cornageeha Community Centre, Padraig will star in The Two Loves of Gabriel Foley in aid of Gortletteragh GAA. That's what's called neighbourliness.

Book Meeting

It is hoped to have a meeting re the Mohill GAA History Book next weekend. People will be texted.

County Senior team

Danny Beck and Ronan Gallagher featured in the Co Senior team's win over London. Ronan scored a vital point.

Lotto

The Lotto is struggling at the moment and it is our main source of income. Over the next week or so we will be sending circulars to all Mohillians asking them to subscribe to the Club Lotto for 6 months or a year. The Club caters for a lot of children and adults so we look forward to your continuing support
