Mohill club notes

July 13, 2020

Back to the future

As we emerge slowly from the pandemic nightmare, we enjoyed a feast of football last week. We were treated to senior, ladies and underage challenges in preparation for the serious competitions starting at the weekend. Mohill will host Ballinamore in the senior Championship first round on Saturday at 7pm. Unfortunately there will be a limited amount of tickets available for both clubs in line with the Covid-19 regulations laid down by Croke Park and the Dept of Health.

This draw will now take place on August 1st. Great money prizes, All Ireland tickets, overnight stays including two nights at Lough Rynn Castle. Tickets available from Lisa 0879827357 or Frank 0868221418

New Grandad

We congratulate Sean Mitchell former player and Lotto worker on becoming a grandfather for the first time. His daughter Áine and her partner Fergus welcomed the arrival of baby Maisie some weeks ago, we wish all concerned great happiness.

History Book

The Club history book 1889 to 2015 published in 2016 is now available free in Pauls and Baxters Centra. Although many copies were sold at the time, there were too many printed and we have good amount available to distribute. It makes great reading for young and old and history never goes out of date. It is available from Maureen Lynch @ 0861765987.

Recent Injury

We wish a speedy recovery to Under 17 player James Foy who received a serious foot injury at training last week. James will unfortunately be out of action for a while and will be sorely missed.

Underage

Under 15s played an exciting draw with Gortletteragh last week.  and the U13s played Ballinalee on Friday.Under 17s also had a challenge on Monday evening. All three squads looking fast and fit and ready for action.
