July 09, 2020Healthy Club Step Challenge
During the month of June, thirty-one walkers from our club joined the Irish Life GAA Healthy Clubs Steps Challenge. At the end of the challenge and with a lot of walking done we finished an amazing 14th place overall out of seventh-nine clubs in Connaught and second highest in Leitrim. This was a fantastic achievement that would not have been possible without all our enthusiastic walkers who were out stepping, rain or shine. The club would like to thank everyone who took part in the challenge. It has been great to see so much pride and community spirit in the club during these difficult times. Congrats to Fiona McManus, Anne Heslin and Mags McManus who were our top three steppers with a combined total of over 2 million steps. The club presented the three ladies with a goodie bag each for their huge effort.
Full Activity in the Park:
We are delighted to see nearly all our underage and adult teams back in action. The park was a hive of activity over the last week with training sessions and challenge games. We wish everyone well in their preparation for the championships which are due to start in couple of weeks.
