Derby clash tough to call, says Davis

Longford manager Padraig Davis is adamant that Sunday’s FL3 clash against neighbours Leitrim at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park is too tight to call.

The sides meet in round three of the campaign and Longford go into the match as slight favourites, but Davis reckons that there is nothing to separate them.

“It’s a derby game,” Davis told the Longford Leader. “It’s 50/50 right now. We have three points on the board which we have to be very happy with and Leitrim has one point on the board. They’ll be looking to add to that.

The loser of this clash could well find themselves in a relegation battle as we head into a break following this weekend’s round of games.
