Aughavas Gaa visit to the Goblet

Aughavas GAA club and supporters visited the Goblet Lounge & Restaurant  in Dublin on Friday night last, A great crowd travelled from Aughavas and met up with friends and family . Great to see people there from over Leitrim and it was nice to meet up with old friends on the night like Eamonn Duignan from Mohill and Junior Reynolds from Fenagh and to talk of the glory years gone by. Chairman Colm Moran made a presentation on behalf of the club of  framed Aughavas GAA jerseys to James & Peggy Mc Govern and also to Tony & Jerry Mc Govern, Annette O Rourke on behalf of St. Josephs Ladies made a presentation of a signed St. Josephs Jersey to James & Peggy as well. Great speeches by Colm, Annete and Ray Mc Brien manager of the St. Josephs team were made

We would like to thank James, Peggy & family for their hospitality & generosity on the night and has the man says the music was good the food was lovely and the crack was mighty that went on into the early hours of Saturday morning. Thanks to Terry Williams for the great photos which you can view on facebook or the Aughavas GAA website.

The Mc Govern brothers  have been great sponsors of the club & community for a long number of years and we hope to get back in the near future again.
