Mohill club notes

July 29, 2019

Senior Championship

Mohill seniors cleared the first hurdle on Sat last with a comfortable win over Melvin Gaels. The Gaels never recovered from the three goals in the first half and the loss of players through injury added to their woes. Mohill’s Keith Keegan was also injured but is recovering and will hopefully be fit to meet Fenagh on Saturday next in Cloone at 7.

Junior Championship

The second string will travel to Drumkeerin on Sunday morning next to meet Manorhamilton in the first round of the Junior A Championship. Please support Seniors and Juniors.

U 17 Championship

Mohill had a good win over Manorhamilton in a high scoring game on Thursday last. They are now joint leaders with Allen Gaels and two games to play.

U 13 Championship

These boys travelled to Cornageeha on Friday last and played a very talented Rinn Gaels in the championship. Our lads played very well and kept in touch for most of the game but the stronger Gaels pulled away in the last ten minutes and were worthy winners. The panel and scorers was: Niall Mulligan, David Murphy, Frankie McManus, Rian Walpole, Darren Brennan, Cillian Walpole, Evan Kilrane 1-0, Tomás Mayock 1-1 Keith McCaffrey 0-2, Ryan Gordon, Thomas Casey 2-0, Daniel Beirne 0-1, John Macklin, Darren Duignan, Dean Reynolds, Niall McCrann, Eoghan O Reilly, Codey Tighe, Shane Mayock.   They play St Joseph’s this Tues in Mohill at 7.30 and travel to Dromahaire on Friday for game at 7.30.

Mohill Ladies

We wish the best of luck to Mohill Ladies who play the first round of the championship on Sunday next. Check fixtures for time and venue and please support the girls, they are the backbone of the club.
