One club made up entire winning Leitrim U17 hurling squad

July 12, 2019

The Leitrim U17 hurlers are crowned Tom Hogan Cup champions.

Leitrim's U17 hurlers recorded a facile victory over neighbours Longford to claim the Corn Tom Hogan at the Celtic Challenge finals in Tullamore a fortnight ago.

Coming a week after their senior counterparts captured the Lory Meagher Cup at Croke Park, it was another huge boost for Leitrim hurling and for the Carrick hurling club who, remarkably, supplied the entire squad and were crowned Connacht club junior hurling champions last November.

Carrick draw their players from a host of football clubs, including Mohill, Allen Gaels, Fenagh St Caillin's, Leitrim Gaels, St Mary's, Aughavas and Bornacoola as well as Shannon Gaels and Kilmore in Roscommon.
