Mohill

U13 Division 1

MacDiarmada Gaels was the opposition in this last game of the Under 13 league. The visitors were worthy winners but Mohill was missing a few players through injury and illness. We wish Tomas Mayock well after he picked up injury against St. Marys previous week. Lads have improved during the league and look forward to lots of football later in the year. U13 Div 2A – these lads had a great win over MacDiarmada Gaels in their final league game. This is a very young team who showed great heart and took some fantastic scores.

Féile

The draw for Féile Peil na nÓg took place in the Connacht GAA Centre in Ballyhaunis on Wednesday night. Mohill will host a boys team from Wicklow and a girls team from Kildare. Féile Peil is a fantastic event in which we have participated on several occasions over the years. As a host club we want to make sure that our teams and the teams we host will have a great weekend June 28-30.

Registration

Final Request for registration of players. This can be done online by contacting Therese Foy or Team Mentors.

Div 1 League

Our first 15 started the season with a good win over St Mary’s. Next Saturday evening they travel to Drumshanbo to play Allen Gaels at 7pm. Our Div 2 team were beaten by Ballinagleara at the weekend but will hope for a better result when they travel to Drumreilly on Sunday morning next at 12pm.

Recent Death

We extend deepest sympathy to the family of Olivia Hart Cloone who died last week. Olivia was a loving aunt to underage player Niall Mulligan and senior player Peter O Neill. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Cash for Clobber

In conjunction with our fundraising, the club is running Cash for Clobber for the next few weeks. Bags of clean, re-wearable clothing, handbags, paired shoes, hats and belts can be left at Maureen Lynch’s Castlegardens before Wed. May 29
