All roads lead to Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada on Sunday afternoon and the start of a new era for Leitrim football.

The FBD Connacht senior football league opener against Mayo represents Leitrim’s first competitive outing under the management of former Cavan boss Terry Hyland.

The hosts will be showcasing their new county jersey and it’s also an intercounty baptism for the newly-named county grounds, AvantCard Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada.

The new experimental rules will also be in place so the 1:30 pm clash with James Horan’s charges has a real novel look to it. The winners will progress to face Galway at the semi-final stage of the pre-season competition the following weekend.
