Carrick on Shannon now know their opponents in the Connacht club JHC final after the Galway championship was finally concluded this week.

On Tuesday night, Ballinasloe and Michael Breatnachs contesed the county semi final which Ballinasloe won by 2-07 to 0-11.

However, they only had two days to prepare for the county final as they played Ballygar in the decider at Loughgeorge last night.

Unfortunately, for Ballinasloe, the turnaround was too quick and Ballygar came out on top comfortably following a 2-16 to 0-10 win.

Now, Ballygar have to quickly turn their attentions to the Connacht final which will be played at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence on Saturday afternoon.

The fixtures issue has certainly been a talking point in every county, but this situation has to be one of the craziest that has happened anywhere.
