Carrick-on-Shannon captain James Glancy believes that they put together a decent run in the Connacht club JHC.

Having overcame Cluainin in last weekend’s county final, Carrick now turn their attentions to a Bank Holiday Monday clash against Sligo champions Coolera/Strandhill.

Coolera beat Naomh Eoin, who were winners over defending champions Calry St Josephs in the semi-final, in the Sligo SHC final and Clancy told the Leitrim Observer that it will be a tough contest.

“Calry were knocked out so that is going to be a big change so hopefully we can give that a go,” stated Glancy. “We have a good side that will hopefully give it a good rattle.

“I think either side that came out of our final would give it a good rattle but we’re delighted to be there.”
