County Final Day –

 

Congratulations to the neighbours Aughawillan on their great senior championship victory on Sunday & commiserations to Mohill, it was a great game for the neutrals to watch and was a great advert for Leitrim football. 

 

Special thanks to the Leitrim County Board for honouring the Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins 50th anniversary three in a row team. It was a fantastic occasion to honour these great players and their families  The men who brought glory to Cannaboe and who were honoured on this very special occasion were   Dermot Gannon, Joe Gormley, Dan Gallogly, Michael Martin, Frankie Beirne, Bertie O’Hara, Thomas Galligan, Noel Flynn, Frank McKeon, Noel Crossan , Tommy McCormack, Patsy Prior, Hughie Smith, Paddy Dolan, Gerry McIntyre, Séamus Hayden, Sean Kavanagh, Berney Crossan.

 

Well done also to Jacob McTague and Luke Maguire who represented the club at the finals day taking part in the mini games and welcoming the teams on to the pitch

 

Book Launch

 

“Under the Thatch: Memories of a Longford Childhood” written by our own Seán Ó Súilleabháin will be launched on Tuesday the 23rd at 20:30 and will be then available to buy, this is a fantastic book that Seán has written about his memories of life in North Longford in the 1950s and 1960s in a most entertaining way.
